Reflections
One night as I was flying
Beyond what we know as The Universe
I'd visited all of the planets
For something new was my nightly search

I surfed along the Milky Way
And past the last star on the left.
Into the glow of a Nova
Basking in the light just to rest.

Then I saw a little starlet
Orbiting far from the glow
Curious I took off to find it
Its secrets I wanted to know.

As I flew over its mountains
And the shadows of valleys below
I saw a pathway leading
Unto to high and smooth plateau.

Upon closer inspection
Finding an Oasis lush and green
And deep into the center
Was a beautiful pond so serene.

I stood on the banks of its beauty
Gazing into waters so deep
Suddenly reflections were appearing
It was like nothing I'd ever seen.

I saw the past present and future
As the waters circled around
Then in that mystical moment
Grasping to recall what I'd found.

Suddenly I was transported
As it's impossible to know so much
Back to place where I started
Reflecting as I brushed off the dust.
