Golden ringlets and big blue eyes
She barely spoke for she was shy
Waiting her turn to sit on Santa's knee
That little girl had once been me.
Though Santa was a jolly man
Still she gripped her Mother's hand.
And when she saw him reach for her
The time had come to take her turn.
Those big blue eyes looked at Santa Clause
And in that moment she felt so lost.
To trust a man in a big red suit
Wearing a pair of shiny black boots.
But then he smiled and winked his eye.
He understood that she was shy.
Then he whispered softly to her
"I'll show you a secret, just come here."
She stepped closer to take a peek.
He held a globe and inside was a tree.
Magic sparkles swirled around,
The glowing globe made a Christmas sound.
Time had slowed into a pause.
As she learned the secret of Santa Clause
Captured in a little glass globe
A secret shared that was never told.
