Love's Song

The signs of romance,
Like words softly spoken,
A rose or a flower
Is often a token.

How sweet it is
When love is young.
And tender thoughts,
Are whispers on the tongue.

Warm soft breath
That tickles the ear.
From words that draw and
Hold the heart near.

Then the sudden shyness
That always brings
The rapid tempo
Of fluttering wings.

Tapping to the rhythm
Of a song in the air.
As feet skip along
With a heart full of cheer.

Finding ways to be so close
When the heart is blooming with love.
And just because or no reason at all,
Is plenty good enough.

To share those moments
That are silly and fun.
And smiles that shine
Brighter than sun!

And the best part of all
No matter how old or young
We all know the feeling
When love's song is sung.
