Lady Aurora

One dark yet starry winter's eve
What I saw I couldn't believe.
Gazing at the Northern sky
Swirling colors way up high.

Was this an illusion
Or just a dream
My eyes playing tricks
On what I'd seen.

For it was past midnight
A haunting time,
The Lady Aurora
Lit up the sky

Her gentle movements
Shifted and swayed,
Displaying colors
That slowly changed.

I was in awe as
She moved with grace
The hem of her gown
Drifted through space.

A mystical moment
That I came to ponder.
I was held by her beauty
And a spell I was under.

Then in an instant
She quickly moved on
Aurora a mystery
Like the ghost of a dawn.
