Let me tell you about Desire.
A Mermaid part woman and fish.
She cries out to the lonely
And to the needy she’s worth the risk.
She comes to those that are waiting
Like an innocent bearing no sin.
She can bring about a yearning
As her memory burns within.
At every glimpse of her body
A response to her whispered call
Feeling the pull of her essence
Mesmerized and enthralled.
Seduction is her veiling
Through the mist her touch is warm
Aspiration grows in silence
As the power of will is worn.
She can be a thing of beauty
Or brew like a storm at sea
She can bloom into a lovely flower
That came from a tiny seed.
If to you the Siren is calling
Then you will have to decide
To keep your feet firmly planted
Never knowing what more you would find.
Perhaps you will dive deeper
Taking the offered plunge
And find that life is fuller
With the hope of dreams to come
