When there's only me to depend on,
I turn to the Lord.
For 'His strength is made perfect in weakness',
And in weakness I've learned to lean.

At times when I feel lonely,
On this path that I walk alone.
He is there as a friend and a leader,
And in His house I have found a home.

The battles in life are not easy.
As He works and tries the soul.
But, when impurities are removed,
The gold shines true.

My friend, if you've ever wondered,
Why life has got you down.
Just look to the cross of Jesus,
You'll find the love that I have found.
