Pixie Giggles

It was early in the morn
before the break of dawn
I happened to hear a giggle
From the garden just beyond.

I stood there in silence
Looking closely through the mist
I saw a tiny fairy
Give the roses
a morning kiss.

And every single flower
That the pixie landed on
Made a sound of pleasure
As the fairy went along.

Just as I stepped nearer
To watch the fairy show
A single beam of sunlight
Filled the garden with a glow.

I was held there by the magic
As I watched the pixie dance
Around the beam of daylight
Leaving sparkles in her path.

I blinked my eyes in wonder
As I saw her disappear
Then I felt a little tickle
And heard a giggle in my ear.
