Trust

Timid as a butterfly
That softly settles down
To draw upon the sweetness
Without the slightest sound.

Trusting; she lingers longer
Though part of her wants to fly.
The love that's there before her
Holds her from taking flight.

The gentleness of her captor;
Is a stroking soothing touch.
And it's in the act of giving,
She has learned it's good to trust.

For one with out the other
Is a love that is in vain.
And to trust with out believing
Only leads a heart to pain.

But in this precious moment
The two of them do share
This time to be together
Is a beauty that is rare.
