Patiently she'd waited
For the day that she would play
In the soft snow of winter
Now today before her came.
As she walked in Winter's wonder
The first thought came to mind
To build herself a snowman
For the very first time.

Proud of her endeavors
Stood three lumpy balls of snow
Piled on top of each other
As the way a snowman grows.
And then to give it character
Two sticks became his arms
Around his neck he sported
Her scarf to keep him warm.

Eyes that glittered brightly.
Were really driveway stone.
His smile wide and sloppy
Below a carrot nose.
There stood her snowman
Clad in natures dress.
She clapped her hands together.
For she had made the very best!
